Often, vendor/consultant marketing materials seem to suggest that switching to low-code makes magic happen, often overnight. As it turns out, low-code deployment efforts and low-code initiatives and projects fail with alarming frequency. Best practices exist, practices that won out after everything else was tried and found wanting. They pertain to tool selection, locus of responsibility, IT operations and governance, application design, and more. Based on a decade and a half of observing and working with countless organizations, this session will highlight what not to do – and what to do instead.
