Colonel Ernest Vasquez is the Senior Director and Chief Architect, Secretary of the Air Force Chief Data Office, Pentagon Washington D.C. He serves as the Senior advisor to the U.S. Air Force Chief Data Officer (CDO), in designing and driving Air Force data management strategies including governance, quality, and data architecture. He also serves as the Chief Analytics Officer to the 16th Air Force Command Surgeon where he advises on strategy, policy/resiliency support to 44K+ Airmen, AFMS affiliate organizations, programs at 75 global sites. He serves as 16th AF/SG tech consultant on integration of IT capabilities to deliver efficiencies. Colonel Vasquez enlisted in the Air Force in 1982 as a law enforcement specialist, military working dog handler and diplomatic security deployment team member. In July 1988 Colonel Vasquez entered the Air Force Reserve and served as a military training instructor. Colonel Vasquez was commissioned in September 1993. He has served in a variety of assignments to include: Chief, Medical Readiness; Chief, Medical Logistics; Chief, Information Systems. Chief, Resource Management; Associate Administrator; Executive Officer and Senior Administrator. He was selected as the Kelly AFB Ambassador in 1993 and was the Air Force Reserve Young Healthcare Administrator of the Year in 1994. Colonel Vasquez has supported and participated in several campaigns to include U.S. Multinational Forces (USMNF), Beirut, Lebanon; OPERATIONS EL DORADO CANYON; DESERT SHIELD/STORM; NOBLE EAGLE; ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
