Data Platform Lead Van Oord

Axel is leading the data platform efforts within the central enterprise data & analytics department at Van Oord, a global marine contractor with over 2.5B in turnover. He leads the development of a cloud-native data platform by translating strategy into solution architecture and technical components, and democratizing data throughout the global organization. Next to public speaking, he contributes to the data engineering discourse by writing articles, where he conveys complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
