
Amanda Turnbull

Amanda began her career in the discipline of the Arts and taught music for a number of years prior to obtaining an MA in English Literature. Since then she has been immersed in a legal environment. In addition to her administrative role within academia, she is registered as a doctoral student at the Univercity of Ottawa's Faculty of Law, under the supervision of Dr Ian Kerr. The working title of her thesis project is "Robotic Pronouncements: Authorship, Artificial Intelligence and Austin." Her research aims to develop policy in the context of creative innovation in AI and, correspondingly, will demonstrate further interdisciplinary progression of speech-act theory in the twenty-first century.
