Letter from the Editor: Introducing Scalable RPA & Intelligent Automation Live

Build your roadmap for enterprise-wide RPA & IA implementation

All too often, scaling cognitive technology such as intelligent automation (IA) and RPA is considered an IT problem. Yes, technology is a vital, enabling factor. However, it’s the people and strategy that make innovation happen.

Achieving substantial ROI on RPA and IA implementations depends on scalability. The more people who adopt it across the enterprise, the more value the tool will bring to the organization.  In addition to that, scalability is especially critical for sophisticated tools such as RPA and IA as they require high levels of, amongst other things, coordination and computing power.

According to reports, over 50% of RPA projects fail to grow beyond 10 bots and more than 70% of RPA projects plateau at fewer than 50 bots. Furthermore, almost half of automation projects fail to deliver the expected savings.

Why?

  • Poor process selection
  • Lack of business/IT alignment
  • Lack of executive championship and stakeholder buy-in

Developing and operationalizing an enterprise-wide vision for scalable RPA and IA before you begin is paramount to not only avoiding these issues, but digital transformation success in general. But what does such a vision look like?

As the answer to that question is far from one-size-fits-all, we’ve invited the industry to come together, share and examine a vast array of cutting-edge approaches to scaling RPA and IA.

Taking place this March 30-31, the Scalable RPA & Intelligent Automation Live virtual event will equip participants with the knowledge, perspective and tools necessary to spearhead RPA and IA-based innovation across the entire enterprise. In addition to that, we’ll discuss how these tools can be used to navigate the complexities of the pandemic economy and boost long-term business resilience by enabling organizational agility and delivering improved enterprise data & analytics.

For example, opening the session on day one, we have Bob Kurpershoek, VP Financial Systems & Strategy Group at NBCUniversal Media, to share his team’s approach to “Creating A Strategic Alignment Between Business And Technology.” During this presentation, he’ll showcase how they developed and exploited a bird’s eye-view of NBCUniversal’s full digital footprint to serve as a roadmap for scaling RPA/IA. He’ll also talk about how to partner cross-functionally to co-build a 5-year plan for RPA projects that outlines accounts for all possible disruptions.

Also on day one, we’re excited to announce that we have, Mike Carroll, VP, Corporate Transformation, Strategy Development and Innovation at Georgia Pacific, to discuss “Digital Transformation Is An Evolution Of Decision Making: Identifying The Intersection Where Corporate Decisions Should Occur.” With a background in engineering and psychology, Mr. Carroll has developed a new framework for driving large-scale, technology-enabled, transformational change. No spoilers here but be prepared to completely re-think your approach to achieving IT/Business/C-Suite alignment and high-level, strategic decision making.

And that’s not all. Some of the other speakers we have joining us are:
